We are current seeking:

We will train. Must have a High School Diploma.

Our Laboratory Assistants receives laboratory specimens from inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and from outside institutions.  Candidates for this position need to have obtained their HS Diploma or GED, with some college coursework and previous laboratory experience preferred.  We are looking for candidates who have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.  Our laboratory team is a high-functioning, dedicated team of professionals who work hard to highest possible standard.

This position is located with the Lab Specimen Receiving section of the lab: this area of the lab is the heart of the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine – every sample comes through here to be triaged and the role of these lab assistants is to ensure that the best sample is delivered and processed for testing. Customer service and the ability to multi-task are really important skills for this area. It’s fast-paced and you’ll never be bored; if you are thinking of entering the lab as a career this is a good place to see a little bit of everything.

We will train. Candidates for these positions must have a High School Diploma. Experience or interest in Science/Biology is preferred.

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics is home to the largest laboratory in NH, providing Pathology and Clinical Laboratory services to Dartmouth Health physician practices, Dartmouth Health Member hospitals as well as to independent practices and hospitals throughout the region.

The Pathology Technician provides technical support to Histology which includes Autopsy.  Responsibilities include preparing specimens for grossing and processing, handling stained slides for quality and distribution to Pathology, maintaining equipment and assisting with autopsy (1st shift only).

Laboratory Assistants and Pathology Technicians with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline and “in good standing” may qualify to apply for technical programs in Histotechnology, Cytotechnology, and Medical Laboratory Scientist when available.
