A unique, hands-on department

Team members have a mixture of experience and work together as a team to complete large amounts of inpatient and outpatient chemistry testing on several instrument platforms. The environment is fast-paced and never short on interesting specimens to trouble shoot. The team is able to leverage the efficiencies of middleware, allowing them to focus on samples that truly require their attention and expertise. As a teaching hospital, learning and mentoring experiences are readily available for all technologists.
Special chemistry mixes automation with manual techniques for a unique, hands-on department with plenty of opportunities for exposure to assay development and several instrument platforms. This team is small and supportive; working together to produce high quality results in allergy, immunosuppressive therapy, infectious disease, and esoteric testing.
